Feeling Kiddish in Kerhonkson, NY

in Activities

Whether you have kids with you or feeling like being a kid again, this day will definitely keep campers of all ages on their toes! Check this itinerary out if you plan on staying at Homestead Mountain, Lothlorien, Starlight Starbright, Osa Trail, Mountain View, or Serenity Grove.

10:00am - Almost Like Mom’s Pancakes
Rise and shine, Camper! Head over to Kerhonkson Diner, and grab yourself a pancake breakfast. Your day will take you back to the good ole days, or if you have little ones, you’re on track for creating those good ole days.

11:30am - Time To Visit The Kids
Take a quick drive over to Kelder Farm’s for an “udderly” fun time.. Get it? With a petting zoo, mini golf, farmers market, and the world’s largest garden gnome, Kelder’s is a wonderland. Take your time wandering around this beautiful farm, and make sure to pick up some fruit from their market for a yummy campfire dessert!

2:00pm - Throw It Back
You may have thought that roller skating was dead, but you’re in for quite the treat. Skate Time 209 in Accord is keeping it vintage, and you can even catch a glimpse of roller derby practice if you stay past 4pm. Burn off some energy, and make sure you wear a helmet!

4:30pm - Brews After The “Moo”’s
Having fun often means you don’t have a chance to eat! Kick back and enjoy a local beer at Rough Cut Brewing Co., and try their Cajun Crabby Patty paired with their very own Roseability ale. Unfortunately, you can’t take a growler back with you, but live in the moment and enjoy their brews anyways!

6:00pm - Taco ‘bout A Good Time
This one is not very time consuming. Call Don Juan Restaurant, and place to-go order of: Queso Derretido de Chorizo, Taquitos, and Chiles Rellenos. Bring these babies back to your campsite, and reheat them over a fire in a cast iron pan or similar to get an extra touch of flavor. Make sure to reheat the Queso Derretido de Chorizo in a separate pot or pan!
